Congratulations, Winter Showcase Musicians!

Congratulations to all of the LHS families who participated in this Saturday’s Winter Showcase Concerts! Violinists and violists performed works ranging from Suzuki Book I favorites to Beethoven’s Spring Sonata and Schumann’s Märchenbilder. From Bartók to Mozart, our LHS performers demonstrated command of a wide range of musical styles.

We were thrilled to once again offer students the opportunity to work with LHS pianist Evelyn Lam (https://laurenhaleystudios.com/meettheartists/) as Ms. Lam completes her doctoral degree in piano performance at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

Virtuosi of Houston and Karen Needham hosted both the 5:30pm and 7:30pm LHS recitals in their beautiful studio. Thank you again, Virtuosi and Ms. Needham!

Evelyn Lam Selected as Music Inspire Africa Artist

Congratulations to LHS Collaborative Pianist Evelyn Lam for being selected as one of six 2016 Music Inspire Africa artists! Evelyn will travel to South Africa from May 23rd – June 13th to perform, present, and teach.

Spring is here and we’re all ready to perform!

While the older LHS musicians complete their orchestra placement auditions, our littlest violinists have put together quite the show for you and the residents of the Sugar Land Atria Senior Living!

Please join us for performances and awards this Saturday, May 16th at 6pm at Atria. Bring a smile and your applause!

2015 Winter Recital

All are invited to join us in celebrating the accomplishments of LHS students and families! Performances start at 6pm on Saturday, February 7th and will feature works of Bach, Bartók, Fauré, Massenet, and Dvořák. A special performance by Ms. Haley will conclude the recital. Reception and studio pictures to follow!
